This is a great piece of manufactured art that is very contemporary. The metal pieces are painted, but it is with an artsy flare that has the haphazard feel of a one-of-a-kind piece. I like the fact that the paint is not perfectly within its boundaries. Additionally, it has a muscical feel - which is primarily why I chose it. It looks great hanging in close proximity to my grand piano.

I submitted 6 close up pictures of the product I recieved and I would advise that you take a close look at them before you buy. The paint job looked nothing like the photo the company submitted. There were no designs carefully painted on the metal pieces like their picture shows. Each rectangular metal piece has a solid background color with sloppy brush strokes of a different color painted over it. There's black paint from the frame bars on the inside edges of the colored rectangles as well as colored paint from the rectangles on some of the black bars. The paint job was clearly rushed and turned out incredibly sloppy because of it. This art was definitely NOT worth $125.22 (shipping was $56). Look at the photos I subitted before you buy. This could have been a beautiful addition to my home decor if it actually looked like it does in the photo the company submitted.
