 Pretty but difficult to hang November 7, 2007
I purchased the black iron model. It was delivered quickly, but my problem was with the method of hanging it on the wall. As I said, I ordered black iron, and the screws that are part of the package for hanging were silver-headed and it would show when the piece is on the wall. I am not handy. It took major effort to screw it into the wall. Remember, this piece is not going to be entirely flush with the wall. The screws they provide are not long enough, in my opinion. After a lot of difficulty I got it on the wall, it looks pretty, but I ended up using longer screws and mollies I had in a picture hanging kit from the hardware store. I also had to use touch up paint since the piece made surface scratches on the wall.

The item arrived in a timely manner and was as advertized. We had originally intended to place the sculpture on our large fireplace wall, whose construction is medium-sized sandstone rocks connected by mortar. However, the fireplace backround interferred with the sculpture and did not allow it to be seen to its best advantage. We therefore moved it to light-painted drywall surface above our dining room buffet, where it shows beautifully. We are very happy with the product and recommended it for use on plain backrounds.

I was a little nervous about ordering this wall sculpture, because it was a bit difficult to tell what it looked like from the picture. Well, I have to say, I like it even more than I thought I would. The sculpture is made of iron and seems to be solid. It is beautifully hand painted with gold accents. It has two levels of trees/leaves (one in front of the other), which give the sculpture some dimension without looking cheesy or gaudy. I'm a lover of simple lines, and I really like this wall sculpture.
